Phase 3 & Phase 4 of Closure
Phases of Closure
The closure of the Jesus Fellowship Community Trust has been divided into four phases, based on legal priority.
Phase 3 (Historic) and Phase 4 (Apportionment)
Following the Redress Scheme (Phase 2) and subject to the closure progress of the Jesus Fellowship Community Trust (JFCT), the current Listed Beneficiaries of JFCT will consider and vote on discretionary payments relating to the closure of JFCT.
Please note that the timing of these votes will also be dependent on the closure progress of JFCT.
To be considered for any potential payments, you had to register your interest and provide related information ahead of the deadline of 31st December 2023.
Full eligibility criteria will only be finalised at the time of current Listed Beneficiaries voting on each phase.
Those who have registered their interest will be notified at the time of voting, explaining final eligibility criteria and when to expect an update on the outcome of the vote.
Phase 3 – Historic
Following the completion of the Redress Scheme and subject to the progress of closure of JFCT, the current Listed Beneficiaries will be voting on the below:
Historic ‘Relief of Need’
For those who have previously left membership of the Jesus Fellowship Community Trust and did not receive a ‘Relief of Need’ payment, or only received part payment, (at that time or through any subsequent scheme).
Historic ‘Under-21 Contributions’
For those who previously left the Jesus Fellowship community and did not receive any payments relating to participation in a Common Purse between the ages of 16 and 21 (at that time or through any subsequent scheme).
Phase 4 – Apportionment
Following Phase 3 and subject to the progress of closure of JFCT, the current Listed Beneficiaries will be voting on the below:
Inclusion of Former JFCT Members in Apportionment
Those who have registered their interest in Phase 4 ahead of the deadline to be included for as a former Member of the Jesus Fellowship Community Trust, if there are payments relating to surplus funds left over following the completion of all other Phases of Closure.
What will happen next?
We will notify those who have registered their interest at the time of voting, explaining final eligibility criteria and when to expect an update on the outcome of the vote.
If a vote is in favour of the item you have registered your interest in, you will be informed and asked for payment details and identification at that time.
If a vote is not in favour of the item you have registered your interest in, you will be informed and no further actions will be taken.
Please note that all votes will be final and are entirely discretionary.
